Gilbert Associates’ experience with various workboat designs goes all the way back to our very first project, the wooden steam tug C.L. Churchill. Still operational and refurbished with a diesel engine, this “beauty of a boat” currently in service to the Buffalo Maritime Center has most recently been tasked with guiding a replica of the Seneca Chief on its maiden voyage commemorating the bicentennial of the Eerie Canal’s opening in 1825.
Our workboats are designed for longevity, strength, and reliability. No matter the job, operating conditions, or regulatory requirements, we will collaborate with you to create a workboat that is up to the task.
